Stereology, Spatial Statistics, Stochastic Geometry

Stochastic geometry is a mathematical discipline on the border of probability theory and integral geometry. It is used for modeling of two- three dimensional patterns in biology, medicine, geology, material research, etc.
Spatial statistics looks at these models on the basis of real data. These data are mostly taken from the image information.
Stereology recounts the data which are taken from probes of lower dimension (projections, profiles).
